The Story
A decade in the making, RSS has invested significant capital in the RAXS System, it’s IP and the crossing system to enable Type Approval Certification.
2011 – 2014
Rail Safety Systems RAXS participates in the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR)and Queensland Rail six-month trial of three innovative rail level crossing safety technologies.
2015 – 2018
Improvement project leading to RAXS commences.
Product certification process of Type Approval commences with Queensland Rail.
RAXS voted the most innovative and best solution for rail crossing safety at the Track SAFE Conference.
2019 – 2022
• Remote monitoring system integration allowing the QR Control Room to real-time monitor the site.
• Completion of six-month final trial.
• Type Approval Certificate issued February 2022 .
• Installation of RAXS on Carnarvon Highway at Thallon October 2022.
